The Story of Meadow View

Evergreen, CO | Full Renovation

My clients arrived from Chicago with bold, contemporary taste — graphic furniture, clean lines, and a deep love for considered design.

When they found this house in the Foothills, it was the views and the mountain landscape that drew them in. The home itself was traditional with arched windows, yellow oak, and details that told a different story than the one they'd been living. My job was to find the place where both worlds came together.

Every decision was made in service of that balance. Arched walls were squared off for architectural grounding. Deep warm browns echoed the landscape outside. A 15-foot sliding door system replaced the kitchen and living room windows — recessing completely into the wall and opening the home entirely to the porch and the mountains beyond. When the door is open, there is no delineation between inside and outside. There is just the view, the air, and the life happening in between.

The kitchen was transformed into an earthy, committed green paired with dramatic dark stone. Against warm walls and grounded architecture, my clients' bold art collection finally found the backdrop it was always meant to have. Colorful, layered, curated. A home that is unmistakably Colorado, and unmistakably theirs.
